Subalpine fir ‘Compacta’

Abies lasiocarpa ‘Compacta’ has a dense, conical crown and blue-toned needles. It grows more slowly than the species and combines with conifers of different shapes. Even a compact cultivar develops over time, so leave space around it.

Choose sun or partial shade and moderately moist, well-drained soil. Monitor watering after planting and in dry summers. Preserve the natural crown; do not shorten the leader without a specific reason for training it.
