Euonymus alatus is a deciduous shrub valued for its red autumn colour. Corky ridges on the branches remain decorative after the leaves fall. Plant it as a specimen or in a shrub group, allowing room for the crown to spread.

Choose sun or partial shade and fertile, well-drained soil. Maintain moderate moisture after planting. Check potted plants more frequently, as their soil dries out faster.
