Ginkgo ‘Marikai’ retains the characteristic fan-shaped leaves in a more compact outline than the species. The foliage turns yellow before falling in autumn. It suits a specimen position where the crown can be appreciated at close range.

Allow enough room for the mature tree's crown and roots. Choose deep, well-drained soil and water regularly during establishment. Formative pruning should suit the species and the age of the specimen.
