Tilia cordata is a tree for spacious gardens and avenue planting. Its full crown provides shade, while fragrant flowers attract bees in early summer. The heart-shaped leaves turn yellow in autumn.

Allow enough room for the mature tree's crown and roots. Choose deep, well-drained soil and water regularly during establishment. Formative pruning should suit the species and the age of the specimen.
