Japanese sedge (Carex morrowii)

Carex morrowii forms clumps of narrow, arching leaves for borders and partially shaded planting. Use it in groups or beside broad-leaved plants. Leaf colour and markings vary by cultivar; confirm the specimen if you want pale margins or plain foliage.

Choose partial shade and moderately moist, well-drained soil. Avoid prolonged drying out, particularly in containers. Remove damaged leaves in early spring without unnecessarily cutting back the entire green clump.
