Pseudosasa — ornamental bamboo

Pseudosasa is an ornamental bamboo with long leaves and stems that form a green screen. It creates a lush backdrop beside terraces and in sheltered spaces. Rhizomes can spread beyond the planting area, so plan a suitable barrier or container cultivation in advance.

Choose a sheltered position with fertile, moderately moist soil. Plan rhizome containment before planting and check its spread regularly. Monitor watering during drought; in containers, check moisture and root space more often.
